Board of Directors Meeting

January 30, 2017

CALL TO ORDER - 2016 President, David Miller, called the meeting at his home at 6pm.

Members Present: David Miller, Kevin Johnson, Gil Nickles, J.B. Barrett, Bill Rush, Carolyn Fuchs. Absent: Bill Gagle.

MINUTES - Gil Nickles moved, Bill Rush seconded a motion to approve the December 13, 2016 TCV BoD Minutes. MOTION PASSED.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2017 - Elected were Kevin Johnson, President; David Miller, Vice-President; J.B.Barrett, Treasurer; Carolyn Fuchs, Secretary. Gil Nickles moved, Bill Rush seconded a motion to elect these individuals to serve as officers of the TCV HOA BoD for the year 2017. MOTION PASSED.

ORGANIZATION OF COMMITTEE CHAIR/Members for 2017 as follows:

Architectural Committee: Dave Miller, Chairman; Gil Nickles and Kevin Johnson, assist.

Fence: Gil Nickles, Chairman; Dave Miller, assist.

Landmark/Lawn America: Kevin Johnson, Chairman, Dave Miller, assist.

Streets, Curbs, Gutters: Kevin Johnson, Chairman

Gate: Michael Bennett, Chairman

Welcoming Committee: Jan Rusher, Linda Pat Colgan, Georgia Rush, Marilyn Miller

(Due to the absence of Bill Gagle he will be consulted on which committees he would like to serve.)

TREASURER'S REPORT: Bill Rush, 2016 Treasurer, presented a Balance Sheet for the period January 1 through January 30, 2017, copy attached, and noted that all homeowners 2017 HOA Dues have been paid.

Gavel officially passed to Kevin Johnson, newly elected President for 2017 Board of Directors and exofficio member of all committees.

NEW BUSINESS: Kevin Johnson and Jim Colgan will ask for a bid to remove trees on HOA property fronting Mingo. (See Addendum below.) Gil Nickles was given an approved architectural form for the Demuth residence, copy attached.

ANNOUNCEMENTS/OTHER:

Architectural Request forms can be found on TCV website in printable version and should be submitted to Gil Nickles for approval. Also President Kevin Johnson will issue memo to homeowners informing them of this. The memo will also include information of new Board Officers and persons to contact for gate management requests or other needs.

ADDENDUM: On January 31, 2017, President Johnson and Jim Colgan obtained a bid in the amount of $5,200.00 from L & T Tree Service for removal, including stump grinding, of all TCV HOA property trees fronting Mingo. President Johnson polled the Board for approval to proceed with this work; approval was given. L & T Tree Service will be awarded this job, and will begin within the next few days. Notation: The removal of five trees is not due to cosmetic appearance, but rather to address the potential liability issues that the trees posed due to their age, size and state of decay. Payment will be made out of the TCV HOA reserve funds.
